GREEN BAY, Wis. (July 2, 2025) – The TUNDRA Super Late Model Series will reignite its 2025 season this Saturday at Dells Raceway Park with the North American 100 presented by Country Plumber. Due to a rainout the series has been off since its opener on May 17.
There is plenty of intrigue surrounding the field for the 100-lap race – enough to bring some fireworks trackside before the show hits the air after the races. Last year Tristan Swanson picked up his first series win in the North American Cup. This year sees a field with many first-time win contenders, and some who have already visited TUNDRA Victory Lane.
Leading the charge among the drivers who have won TUNDRA events is reigning series Champ Ty Fredrickson, fresh off his ARCA Series debut. Fredrickson contended for the win with Swanson last year, but came up just short. Local favorite and past NA Cup winner Mike Lichtfeld also returns after a podium finish in the event last year.
Jordan DeVoy will be another to watch out for. DeVoy dominated the 2021 TUNDRA event at DRP and has tasted success at the track a several times over the past few seasons. DeVoy’s teammate Kody King will also look to play a factor. A strong performance from the young Iowan could result in the team leaving with the point lead.
Also looking to rekindle the magic will be Jeff Storm. Storm won a TUNDRA (then Alive For Five) race back on August 13, 2011. It was the fourth event in TUNDRA history.
Some locals will be well-positioned to contend as well. Bobby Kendall had multiple fast times in early TUNDRA events at DRP, but hadn’t got to Victory Lane. He’ll be looking to change that Saturday. Jesse Bernhagen has won a multitude of Pro Late Model races at the third-mile, and will be looking to breakt through as well.
Among some of the TUNDRA regulars hoping to score their first victory are Brock Heinrich and Jevin Guralski. Heinrich has had up-and-down success at DRP, but has shown plenty of speed in the races he’s entered this year. Guralski comes off a win at Jefferson in the Midwest Tour race at the end of May. He had an impressive run back to the top five after an early incident in last year’s race.
Nick Egan could be one to watch, as well. Tagging in for his teammate Andy Monday, Egan has shown speed at DRP, and hopes to turn that into results Saturday.
Of note, both Steve Lichtfeld and Corey Jankowski are entered. With their appearances both drivers will continue their streak of appearing in at least one TUNDRA race in each of the 15 years of the series’ history.
TUNDRA will be joined on a big night by the 602 Late Models, Sportsman, Bandits, and Sixers. Qualifying is at 4:30. Racing begins at 6pm.
