GREEN BAY, Wis. (August 31, 2025) – After 106 days and three event dates lost to weather, the TUNDRA Super Late Model Series will resume its 2025 season Monday at Golden Sands Speedway with the Cleaver Classic 108.
Leading the charge among the drivers who have won TUNDRA events is reigning series Champ Ty Fredrickson. Fredrickson won the TUNDRA July event last season and sealed the title with a podium finish last September.
Two-time GSS TUNDRA winners Jordan DeVoy and Justin Mondeik will be others to watch. DeVoy won in 2021 and 2022 in exciting fashion. Mondeik dominated in both 2020 and last year’s Cleaver Classic.
Also looking to get back to Victory Lane will be John Beale. Beale has had good success at Golden Sands, but has been somewhat snakebitten in TUNDRA events at the third-mile. He’ll be hoping for the result he has been closing in on over several races.
Some locals will be well-positioned to contend as well. Rayce Haase, Travis Volm, and Jeremy Lepak will be looking to score the victory.
Among some of the TUNDRA regulars hoping to score their first victory are Brock Heinrich and Cody Vanderloop. Heinrich had a strong season in limited action at Golden Sands and has two TUNDRA podiums at the facility. Vanderloop was strong in his debut at WIR and has had solid Midwest Truck Series visits at GSS.
Of note, both Steve Lichtfeld and Corey Jankowski are entered. With their appearances both drivers will continue their streak of appearing in at least one TUNDRA race in each of the 15 years of the series’ history.
TUNDRA will be joined by the WIR ¼-Mile Late Models, Wisconsin Sport Trucks, and American Super Cup Series. Fan gates open at noon, qualifying is at 12:30, racing is at 2pm.
