CLEAVER CLASSIC SET FOR SATURDAY

GREEN BAY, Wis. (July 24, 2026) – The Cleaver Classic at Golden Sands Speedway will host a strong field of contenders when the TUNDRA Super Late Model Series hits Central Wisconsin’s Power Playground Saturday.

Season winners Ty Fredrickson and John Beale will be among the top two contenders to be up front at the end of the 108 lap main event.

Past winners will also be tough to handle. Justin Mondeik will be looking to get back into Victory Lane after winning the event in 2024.  Inaugural Cleaver Classic Winner Dalton Zehr will also be in the field

Jerad de Boer, who set fast time at Marshfield, will look to get on the right track at Golden Sands after showing speed but suffering tough luck at the facility. Local favorite Darren Jackson also looks to be in the mix

The field will also feature former track Champions Frank Nitzke and Wyatt Brooks as well as former track Pro Late Model Champion Braison Bennett.

Past fast qualifier for TUNDRA events at GSS Travis Volm also should be in the hunt.

A few drivers are still looking to finalize plans and hope to join the field.

TUNDRA will be joined by the Midwest Dash Series and 4 Cylinder Stocks. Qualifying begins at 6pm with racing at 7pm.
